Come In

Come in as water, come in as air,
Come in as sunshine – come everywhere

Come in as bread that gives me life,
Come in as wine for sin and strife

Come in as daybreak to my night,
Come in, my Lord, make in me light.

We walk and feel that we are strong,
When life and breath to Thee belong

And as the mother who gives her heart,
Whose flesh and blood – such life impart

Thou art; both Father and Mother fair,
And spreadest thy life out everywhere

Thy source remember, O soul who lives,
For once thy very heart was his.

When all the Father does “life” and give,
What part is mine, while it does live?

Come in, my Lord – I am all thine. And in He came – and He was mine.

Just a little flower, turning her face to find the sun. I don’t always feel his rays on me, but when I do, the warmth and the feeling is simply wonderful, and I never want to be in the shadows again. Isn’t he lovely?
